If you decide to start eve, first try the 14 day trail, it's free, and gives you enough time to make up your mind if you like it or not:
http://www.eve-online.com/ When In game, look me (DeltaW7) or Zama up, our corporation is looking for some new players. -------------------- |

If you do give EVE a try contact DeltaW7 or zama118
They both have a vast amount of knowledge on the game! and are willing to help. I started plying and they both have helped me greatly. I have achieved a great amount thanks to FACTS on EVE which Delta is CO of. Thanks to them I got my first real taste of hard core pirate killing (Rating) yesterday and man what a rush!! Go on give it a try, I promise if you like space games or on line gaming you will love EVE! -------------------- |

Hi all,
Well so far I have been so busy playing another on-line game called "Rise" that I have not got to EVE yet but, you never know I may just happen along sometime and give it a go. The reason for this post is to make everyone aware that there is a 21 day trial available from STEAM and as I'm Scots the extra week for nothing is important to me http://store.steampowered.com/ You will need to open an account but relax its free. Dick. -------------------- |

yes the steam trail is very good
but we can also do whats called the buddy program where one of the members sends an invite and you get 21 days if you join then that member gets 30 days eve time free as a reward witch is pretty cool -------------------- |

Most of us are Caldari or Gallante. If you want to go into fighting other players (PVP) then I'm lead to believe Minmatar are the best. Other than that, there are different career choices you can aim at. I went Industry based but you also have military so it depends what you want out of it. BUT that said, you can also learn the things you didnt start with so if you go wrong at the start its not a complete loss. My character started with poor ship skills and great industry skills, but now I have them trained quite high. Realistically the direction you start only affects you for the first 60 odd days pretty much after that things will level out. If you are online look one of us up and we will help where we can... I am Maniac69uk Or theres Deltaw7 Or Zama118 (If he's on!) -------------------- |

If there is anyone out there even CONSIDERING coming to eve.. speak to one of us!!!
We can offer you all the help and support you could need and are only to glad to assist you before you sign up and when you have... I have been playing for nearly a year and still find new questions to ask!! There is such a steep learning curve with Eve, only beaten by the amount of help that is on offer! If you've got a question we have the answers! If you liked X you will love Eve. Yes the subscription is a pain, but I have 2 accounts I love this game so much (and considering covering a 3rd!). SO come one... speak up and dont be afraid to ask.. FACTS on EVE needs YOU!! -------------------- |

I have been playing EVE for 3 months now. I have 3 accounts, yes 3
When I started playing EVE the guys took real good care of me and helped in so many ways that I found I could do anything I wanted to, in game (Except pirate, we don't like pirates!) and get help, advice and some ISK to help me do what I chose! So c'mon ppl, give us a shout and fullfill your love of space games with a twist of playing with and against real ppl! It's so much more than X ever was! If you want help to set up an account just post here or you can create an account and contact us in game. My in game name is "Ferd Harling01" someone had the cheek to pinch my name so that is why I added the "01" (I will pod him if I see him Ferd. -------------------- |

The biggest pain I found with the X series was getting started. Until you hit your first station it was like peeing in the sea! You didnt seem to get anywhere very fast.
Eve is much the same, except you will have people throwing ships at you. The character starts off with a free "noob" ship. Once you get out of that you will be handed ships (ok you can buy but at this stage money is a premium) that you are able to fly for free by corp mates. We have even given Isks (credits) to new players to help. I was given 10 million Isk when I first started, I spent a load and struggled to get my funds back up. Now, I can make that in a night! -------------------- |

I've been considering EVE for a while now, but still not sure (mainly cost, as i'm not working any more
Also i'm on mobile internet (Voda) with a 3GB download limit a month, will playing EVE obliterate this or not? I'm now running on a laptop as well as i haven't got room for a PC, (let alone be able to afford a decent one! lol) Cheers, Ben -------------------- |

Once you have eve installed it wont be a problem. Apparently according to Delta its not THAT bandwidth hungry.
The pain is the inital 2 GB download, so thats what you need to be carefull of. As for computing power... I use a AMD 2.5gb dual core pc and I can run 3 lots of eve at the same time.... -------------------- |
